Released as part of the Port Askaig relaunch in 2023, this 8-year-old Islay single malt is matured initially in American oak barrels before spending over five years in a bourbon barrels, toasted American oak barrels, PX sherry butts, and refill hogsheads. Bottled at 45.8% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.
Expect waves of charcoal smoke, lemon oil and pine on the nose, with a rich palate of heather honey, grilled grapefruit, and sweet ginger snaps. Dark chocolate soften into melon and prosciutto with a warmth of chilli spice.
