Buy Lagg Corriecravie Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Available now at World of Whiskey Shop, Lagg Corriecravie Edition represents a masterclass in secondary wood finishings. The whisky is initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred for an extended finishing period in exceptional Oloroso sherry hogsheads sourced directly from José y Miguel Martín in Spain. Bottled at a robust cask strength of 55% ABV with natural color and non-chill filtered, it delivers an intense, smoky, and richly fruited flavor profile.
In the glass, it displays a deep, rich amber hue. The nose opens with an invigorating, complex bouquet of earthy peat smoke, smoldering campfire ash, and dark chocolate, beautifully balanced by waves of sweet sultanas, sticky dates, and warm winter spices. On the palate, a thick, oily, and warming mouthfeel unleashes bold flavors of dark cherry, red berries, and rich fig syrup, layered over robust maritime salt, toasted oak, and a lingering medicinal peat dryness. The finish is remarkably long, powerful, and warming, leaving a memorable impression of sweet sherry and lingering wood smoke.
A prized addition for peat lovers, independent distillery enthusiasts, and collectors of modern single malts, Lagg Corriecravie is best enjoyed neat in a Glencairn glass with a few drops of water to open up its dense aromatics. Order your bottle today from World of Whiskey Shop.
