Blended malts are a blend of different single malts from different distilleries without the grain element. There is no limit to the number of single malts you can use in a blended malt which makes for a rich and varied combination of flavours, from honey fruitness to full-on peat smoke. The most popular characteristics of blended malts are malt, leather, dried fruit, toffee, and vanilla.
