Castle Rock Pinot Noir Cuvée

Tasting Notes and Characteristics:Silky red fruit and a gentle earthy warmth make Castle Rock Pinot Noir Cuvée an easy bottle to fall into, especially when you want something graceful but still full of character. This United States Pinot Noir offers an ABV of 13.50%, with the variety’s classic profile of ripe cherry, raspberry, subtle spice, soft tannins, and a clean, food-friendly finish shaped through standard red wine vinification. Its bright acidity and supple texture make it a natural partner for duck, where it lifts the richness of the meat, or salmon, where its red berry fruit and delicate structure complement the fish without overpowering it.Producer Information: Castle Rock WineryCastle Rock Winery was founded in 1994 by Greg Popovich in California’s Central Coast, with roots in Monterey County and a business model built around sourcing quality fruit and finished lots from respected coastal and inland appellations rather than relying on a single estate vineyard. The winery became known for a focused négociant-style approach, matching varietals to regions where they show best, then bottling wines that emphasize regional character, clean winemaking, and accessible pricing. Its portfolio spans California, Oregon, and Washington, including Pinot Noir from Monterey, Russian River Valley, and Willamette Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley and Columbia Valley, plus Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and red blends shaped to reflect their appellation origins.
