Red Wine: 2017 | Villa Raiano | Taurasi
Dark, impenetrable ruby. Aromas of black pepper, humus, nutmeg, rust and ripe plums create a glowing olfactory mix with an immediate impact, with smoky notes and dehydrated red flowers in support. Manly sip, of peremptory incisiveness in virtue of the dense but not astringent tannins and of the pointed sapidity that imprints the long final.

Producer Information
The winery Villa Raiano started as an ambitious project of the Basso family in 1996, that always believed in the potential of such an extraordinary area like Irpinia, Campania, South Italy. The winery was born in the village of Raiano, a hamlet in the heart of Irpinia, from which it takes its name. After 13 years of continuous growth and research, the new winery, designed and built according to the most modern technological and architectural criteria, was built on the top of a hill 600 metres above sea level, in the municipality of San Michele di Serino (AV). Villa Raiano produces wines from only indigenous Campania vines, Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino, Aglianico di Taurasi and Falanghina, all vinified in purity, to preserve the characteristics of each individual vine.
