A Fine Champagne XO Cognac with a stunning decanter
This artisan Cognac house stun us once more with the Vallein Tercinier XO Vieille Reserve Cognac, which takes its eaux-de-vie from both the Grande and Petite Champagne. A fine blend of well aged spirits, the youngest is 35 years old. A smooth and elegant Cognac, it is the perfect Fine Champagne Cognac taking 50% of the assemblage from the Petite Champagne, and the other 50% from the Grande Champagne, exhibiting the remarkably long length on the palate.
Vallein Tercinier harbor five hundred years of savoir-faire and heritage at their estate at the Domaine des Forges in the Saintonge region, and this is demonstrated through their high-quality bottlings. The unique conditions of the Fine Champagne terroirs alongside its proximity to the sea makes the region like no other.
The creation of the vineyard of Vallein Tercinier probably dates from the end of the 3rd century, and is linked to the Roman emperor Probus who extended to all Gauls the privilege of winemaking. The soil in this cru is high in chalk content, thanks to millions of years of fossilization, and also benefits from optimum sunlight conditions.
