ABK6 XO Family Reserve Cognac: Single Estate Character
The ABK6 XO Family Reserve Cognac is the oldest in the ABK6 range and has deservedly won many awards. This single estate Cognac has been produced entirely on the grounds of Chez Maillard and aged for over ten years, producing a wonderful depth of flavor and rich aromatic notes. One of the signature aromas found in ABK6 Cognacs is freshly-baked pastry, and this expression certainly holds true to this. On the nose, you can also enjoy all the hints of dried fruit, nuts, and liquorice aromas typical of well-matured Cognac.
ABK6’s domain Chez Maillard sits on an exceptional chalky hilltop location, right in the middle of the family’s vineyards. Run by a father and daughter team, this house produces only their single estate Cognac, with all steps of the process – growing, distillation, maturation, blending and bottling – controlled by the family.
