Distillery Information
“The Weller distillery story centers on William Larue Weller, who in 1849 founded W.L. Weller & Sons, pioneering wheated bourbon by swapping rye for wheat in the mash bill for a softer, smoother taste, a legacy continued today at Buffalo Trace Distillery and the historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery, a site now known for tours and brands like Blade and Bow.”
