Tasting Notes and Characteristics:Crisp, zesty, and refreshingly dry, Séptima Sauvignon Blanc is the kind of white wine that feels right for sunny afternoons, casual aperitifs, and seafood dinners where you want brightness more than weight. It clocks in at 13.5% ABV (0.135) and is made in a clean, freshness-first style typical of Sauvignon Blanc, with cool fermentation and an emphasis on preserving natural acidity and aromatic lift, produced in Argentina. In the glass, expect lively citrus like lime and grapefruit, hints of gooseberry and passion fruit, plus fresh-cut herb and a subtle mineral edge on the finish. That tangy profile is a natural match for goat cheese, where the wine’s acidity cuts through the creaminess, and it also sings with grilled shrimp, sharpening smoky char while echoing the shrimp’s sweet, briny snap.Producer Information: Bodega SéptimaBodega Séptima is based in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina, on the Andean foothills south of the city of Mendoza. It was established in the late 1990s as the Argentine winery project of the Codorníu Raventós wine group from Spain, pairing European winemaking experience with Mendoza’s mountain-influenced viticulture. The estate operates with a modern, quality-driven approach that prioritizes site selection, careful canopy and yield management, precise harvest timing, and clean, temperature-controlled fermentations to preserve fruit character while building structure through measured maturation choices.Across its broader portfolio, Bodega Séptima bottles a mix of red and white wines spanning classic Mendoza plantings and several label tiers, from accessible everyday bottlings to reserve-level selections designed for greater complexity and cellar potential. The range typically includes Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc alongside other Bordeaux and Mediterranean varieties, plus aromatic whites such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and occasional rosé and sparkling-style offerings depending on vintage and market. Rather than branching into spirits or beer, the producer’s identity is centered on varietal wines and blends that express Mendoza’s altitude, sun exposure, and alluvial soils through clearly defined aromas, tannin texture, and balanced acidity.
