Normandin-Mercier “Kilimandjaro” – Les Sommets du Cognac
Named for Africa’s highest peak, this single-cask Cognac is bottled at 58.95 % ABV, mirroring Kilimandjaro’s 5 895 m elevation. Unblended, unreduced and untouched after the cask, it delivers raw altitude-like intensity in liquid form. One cask, one cru, nothing added.
The profile contrasts vibrant spice—coffee, ginger, turmeric—with ripe tropical fruit, offering power yet balance in every sip.
Presentation of the bottle
A clear, tall bottle shows off the deep amber spirit. The label carries a stylised outline of Kilimandjaro, with the matching 5 895 m / 58.95 % pairing. A black wax seal and handwritten batch number highlight the limited nature of this release.
How to drink
Savour neat in a tulip glass to embrace the full strength, or add a few drops of water to draw out extra mango and cocoa. Pairs well with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or aged Gouda.
