The second in Gordon & MacPhail’s highly anticipated series of ultra-rare single-cask whiskies, this 1956 Linkwood catches the eye and snares the heart. Only 53 tasteful decanters of the incomparable 60-year-old have been released, and safe to say the malt drawn from Cask 20 – a first-fill sherry hogshead filled in 1956 – represents quality beyond all reckoning.
