Kelt Commodore Cognac
One of the newest members of the KELT range, the Commodore is not just a cognac; it’s a testament to the undying principles of our founder, Mr. Kelt. With his retirement, many wondered if the impeccable standards and relentless pursuit of excellence he instilled would continue. The answer lies in the shimmering amber of the Kelt Commodore.
Celebrating a significant milestone, this cognac clinched the Double Gold and was named the Best Cognac of 2015 at the esteemed WSWA competition. Mr. Kelt’s response? He couldn’t be more pleased. This accolade is proof that over two decades of his mentorship has imbued the successors with the same unwavering dedication to quality.
The Kelt Commodore skillfully marries the distinctive characteristics of Grande Champagne VSOP, Napoleon, and XO. Its intricate blend leans heavily into the precision of barrel selection, all set for the unique Ocean Maturation process. Known as the “Tour du Monde,” this legendary 3-month oceanic maturation journey – exclusive to KELT – reveals hidden nuances from the Limousin oak. The result? A cognac that boasts unmatched smoothness, combined with an expansive spectrum of flavors and scents.
The mastery over the Limousin oak barrel aging is evident in the selection of barrels ranging from 8-15 years, each carrying a specific quality and story. Yet, the precise composition remains an intimate secret, known only to two privileged individuals within their ranks.
In essence, while the blending and Ocean Maturation align the Kelt Commodore with the tasting age of an XO, it gracefully retains the vibrant vanilla and fruit undertones typical of a younger cognac.
