Their expertise is most evident in Chartreuse, a complex herbal liqueur made from a secret blend of over 130 botanicals, which reflects both the biodiversity of their alpine surroundings and meticulous artisanal methods passed down through generations. In addition to Green and Yellow Chartreuse, they also produce Élixir Végétal de la Grande-Chartreuse, a potent herbal tonic with medicinal origins. The monks’ commitment to authenticity and quality is evident in every aspect of production, from hand-harvesting local herbs to aging the liqueurs in oak casks within their historic cellars.
