Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey
Straight Wheat Whiskey | 45% ABV (90 Proof) | 750 mL | Kentucky, USA
Process & Profile
Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey is a landmark American whiskey produced by Heaven Hill Distillery and recognized as the first new straight wheat whiskey introduced in the U.S. since Prohibition. True to its category, Bernheim is made from a mash bill containing at least 51% winter wheat, with corn and malted barley rounding out the recipe to provide structure and balance.
This expression is aged for a minimum of 7 years in new, charred American oak barrels, allowing the soft wheat character to develop depth while remaining smooth and approachable. Bottled at 90 proof, Bernheim Original showcases a refined, grain-forward profile that distinguishes it clearly from bourbon and rye.
