A Norwegian Special: The Bache Gabrielsen XO Premium aged on average 20 years
Aged for an average of two decades in oak barrels, this harmonious blend is a testament to the Norwegian producers in the Cognac region. The Bache Gabrielsen Premium XO Cognac is exceptionally smooth, yet lively and fruity.
Presented in an extra-special decanter, this eaux-de-vie of this blend has been aged for a minimum of 10 years – but considering its premium quality, some of the Cognacs contained within have been aged up to 30 years.
Using a blend of Ugni Blanc and Folle Blanche grapes, Bache Gabrielsen have selected the finest grapes grown in the Fins Bois, Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne terroirs. The Fins Bois produces rich and strong aromas, with a hint of the maritime climate, whereas the Fine Champagne crus are known for their exceptional aging potential and smoothness.
Bache Gabrielsen have carefully selected eaux-de-vie from each of these crus to perfectly encapsulate their Premium XO. Founded in 1905 by Thomas Bache-Gabrielen from Holmestrand in Norway, he established himself in the Cognac region and developed a very particular savoir-faire.
