Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series No. 017 High Angel’s Share 375ml
Experience the extreme, concentrated power of historic Lynchburg aging with Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series No. 017 High Angel’s Share Tennessee Whiskey. Released as part of Jack Daniel’s exclusive experimental Distillery Series, this ultra-rare bottling highlights the transformative effects of high-elevation barrel maturation and heavy atmospheric evaporation.
Available now at World of Whiskey Shop, High Angel’s Share features whiskey distilled and barreled in 2016, then matured for over a decade at the highest peak of Coy Hill on the top floor of Barrelhouse 1-13. Exposed to intense summer sun, dramatic temperature swings, and strong hill winds, these barrels experienced excessive “angel’s share” evaporation, leaving behind a dense, highly viscous, and remarkably complex spirit. Charcoal-mellowed through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal prior to aging, this batch-proof expression was hand-selected by Whiskey Taster Dale McGee and bottled uncut and un-filtered.
In the glass, it presents a dark, shimmering mahogany-copper hue. The nose opens with an explosive, sweet bouquet of Werther’s caramel, toasted pecans, rich maple syrup, and banana nut bread, underlaid by antique oak and subtle almond extract. On the palate, a thick, mouth-coating, and luxurious viscosity delivers decadent flavors of toasted dark brown sugar, butterscotch, and dark chocolate-covered espresso beans, harmoniously balanced by charred oak tannins, cinnamon spice, and toasted wood sugars. Bottled at a roaring batch proof of 138.4 Proof (69.2% ABV), the finish is extraordinarily long, warm, and lingering, with lingering notes of dark cocoa, toasted oak, and rich dessert spice.
An indispensable grail bottle for Jack Daniel’s collectors, high-proof whiskey enthusiasts, and rare spirit connoisseurs, High Angel’s Share is best appreciated neat in a Glencairn glass or with a few drops of pure limestone spring water. Order your bottle today from World of Whiskey Shop.
