Tequila Ocho Añejo Barrel Select Ferrand Cognac Casks
Añejo | 44.4% ABV | 88.8 Proof | 750mL | Jalisco, Mexico | Las Raíces Estate | French Oak Cognac Casks | Additive-Free
Process & Profile
Tequila Ocho Añejo Barrel Select Ferrand Cognac Casks combines single-estate Highland agave with a full year of maturation in seasoned French oak Cognac barrels. Made exclusively with overripe agaves from Rancho Las Raíces, this limited release brings together the traditions of Carlos Camarena’s Tequila Ocho and Alexandre Gabriel’s Ferrand Cognac. The casks introduce baked pear, honey and delicate floral accents while allowing the cooked-agave character to remain central. Bottled at 88.8 proof, it balances fruit and caramel with herbs, coffee, ginger and vibrant minerality.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Cherry, ground cinnamon and caramelized cajeta, complemented by green guava, celery, cilantro and damp earth.

How to Enjoy
Serve neat in a tulip-shaped tequila glass and allow the pour to rest briefly before tasting. Explore the fruit and herbal aromas first, then add a few drops of water if desired to examine the balance between agave, spice and oak.
For a food pairing, try roasted almonds, aged cheese or dark chocolate. A large ice cube offers a cooler serving option with gradual dilution.
