Tasting Notes and Characteristics:Rhanleigh Sweet Red Wine greets the palate with a smooth, velvety sweetness that makes it an easy choice for relaxed gatherings or casual evenings. With an approachable 8% ABV, this South African wine is crafted to highlight ripe fruit character while maintaining a light, refreshing finish. Produced in the sun-drenched vineyards of South Africa, Rhanleigh Sweet Red is made using select red grape varieties known for their juicy profiles and gentle tannins. The wine opens with flavors of ripe berries—think black cherry and raspberry—layered with subtle hints of plum and a touch of floral lift. Its natural sweetness balances beautifully against savory dishes like barbecue ribs, where the fruitiness complements smoky flavors. When paired with blue cheese, Rhanleigh’s lush texture softens the cheese’s tangy bite, creating a harmonious blend that lingers pleasantly on the palate.Producer Information: Overhex Wines InternationalOverhex Wines International is based in the Western Cape of South Africa, with its headquarters situated near Worcester.
