The porphyry volcanic soils and dramatic day-to-night temperature swings allow the Pinot Noir (Blauburgunder) grapes to ripen slowly while retaining bright, vibrant acidity. The wine undergoes traditional fermentation followed by 12 months of aging in a combination of barriques and large oak casks, followed by bottle aging to harmonize its complex fruit and structural tannins.
In the glass, it displays a brilliant ruby red color with subtle garnet highlights.
