Kyro Malt Single Cask

From Kyrö distillery in Finland, this unique single cask expression has been bottled exclusively for us at The Whisky Shop. The special edition of Kyrö Malt is made with 100% rye malt, double copper pot distilled and finished in a delicious Moscatel wine cask. Bottled at a robust 51.1% abv. 

Expect aromas of spiced rye, alongside brandy cream, freshly varnished oak, poached plum and damp leather. The palate is oily and mouth-coating with sweet, fruity flavours of cherry compote, star anise, black forest gateau and hints of oak, leading to a lingering finish reminiscent of mulled wine spice and warming cayenne pepper.
