The Veuve Clicquot saga is a narrative marked by daring, ingenuity, and fearlessness. Back in 1810, Madame Clicquot pioneered the world’s very first vintage champagne. By 2015, Veuve Clicquot proudly introduced the 67th vintage from their Maison. Over time, the estate has cultivated a masterful approach to the art of aging.
Veuve Clicquot Champagne Vintage Brut 2015 This exceptional champagne, celebrated for its quintessential Clicquot essence, predominantly features Pinot Noir (50%), carefully selected from the Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, providing that characteristic structure. Complementing this, Chardonnay (30%) contributes an exquisite elegance and harmonious balance to the wine, while a modest portion of Pinot Meunier (20%) adds depth to the blend.
Veuve Clicquot’s Vintage collection distinguishes itself through the unique use of wines that have been meticulously vinified and matured in substantial oak casks (10%), enhancing its strength and aromatic richness. The cask-aged wines introduce an added layer of complexity with their spicy undertones and subtle hints of roasted coffee and toasted aromas.
TASTING NOTES “This wine is a true embodiment of grace, tension, and vitality. The initial impression is marked by its tautness, vertical character, and mineral essence, followed by an unfolding of notes reminiscent of toast, roasted coffee beans, and praline. Its exceptional structure renders it an exemplary and distinguished vintage.
