Tasting Notes and Characteristics:Velvety and slow-sipping, Tres Agaves Extra Añejo Tequila suits unhurried nights when you want a warming, oak-kissed tequila with a silky finish. Bottled at 0.4 ABV, it’s an extra añejo style tequila made from blue agave and aged well beyond standard añejo in oak barrels to deepen its color, texture, and complexity, crafted in Mexico.Expect layered notes of cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, and baking spice, with hints of cocoa and dried fruit as it opens in the glass. It pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, where the tequila’s sweetness and gentle bitterness echo the cacao, and with aged Manchego cheese, whose nutty, savory richness highlights the spirit’s oak, spice, and lingering agave warmth.Producer Information: Tres Agaves ProductsTres Agaves Products is based in San Rafael, California, and began in the late 1990s as a tequila-focused company built around certified organic ingredients and a transparent supply chain. From the outset, the brand positioned itself as a bridge between U.S. consumers and traditional agave agriculture in Mexico, working through long-term relationships with producers and emphasizing consistency, traceability, and clear labeling. Their general production approach centers on single-raw-material integrity, with an emphasis on organic certification standards, careful fermentation and distillation controls, and a house style designed for clean, agave-forward profiles suitable for sipping and classic cocktails.Beyond tequila, Tres Agaves is widely associated with organic agave-based pantry and bar staples that support home mixology and beverage service. The portfolio includes organic agave nectar as a sweetener for coffee, tea, and cocktail programs, plus cocktail mixers such as margarita mix that target balanced acid-sugar ratios and practical batching for entertaining. Across these categories, the brand’s identity is anchored in agave as a core ingredient, with products positioned for everyday use in margaritas, palomas, and other tequila-forward drinks while also functioning as versatile alternatives to cane sugar syrups and artificial sweeteners.
