Tasting Notes and Characteristics:Dark cherry, worn leather, and warm spice make Torre de Golbán Reserva feel instantly inviting, a Spanish red wine with the depth and poise you want at the table. With an ABV of 14.50%, it offers concentrated blackberry, plum, tobacco, vanilla, and earthy oak notes shaped by the Reserva style, where mature fruit and savory complexity come together in a smooth, structured finish. From Spain, Torre de Golbán Reserva pairs beautifully with roast lamb or Manchego cheese, bringing enough freshness for rich meat and enough depth to flatter the nutty, salty character of the cheese.Producer Information: Dominio de AtautaDominio de Atauta is a Ribera del Duero producer based in the remote Valle de Atauta in Soria, one of the denomination’s highest and most distinctive areas, where pre-phylloxera Tinto Fino vines grow on sandy, limestone-rich soils at around 1,000 meters above sea level. Founded in 1999, the estate was created to recover and bottle the identity of this isolated valley, working with very old, ungrafted parcels that had long been tended by local growers. Its philosophy centers on micro-terroir precision: separate vinification by plot, restrained oak use, and a focus on freshness, mineral tension, and the savory depth that Soria’s cool climate can bring to Tempranillo. Beyond its flagship Dominio de Atauta wines, the producer is also associated with bottlings such as La Mala, Llanos del Almendro, Valdegatiles, and Parada de Atauta, each reflecting a specific site within the valley rather than a broad regional blend.
