Suntory Yamazaki 25 Year Mizunara Japanese Oak Cask
A once-in-a-generation whisky, the Yamazaki 25 Year Mizunara represents the pinnacle of Japanese single malt artistry. From Japan’s oldest malt whisky distillery, this rare and precious spirit has been matured exclusively in Mizunara oak casks—less than 1% of Suntory’s total cask inventory—for a full quarter century. Every moment of those 25 years deepens the bond between spirit and oak, coaxing out the most enchanting qualities of Mizunara. Crafted to the highest standards set by the Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association, this masterpiece offers a sensory journey unlike any other.
The Pinnacle of Mizunara
Through decades of experimentation, Suntory’s master artisans discovered that Mizunara reveals its most profound character only after decades of careful maturation. In this expression, the ancient Japanese oak imparts ethereal notes of smouldering incense, sandalwood, and hints reminiscent of Shinto temples and ancient herbal remedies. The result is a whisky of remarkable depth, elegance, and soul.
