Kessler American Blended Whiskey is a smooth, approachable whiskey with a history dating back to 1888. Created by Julius Kessler and long recognized by its “Smooth as Silk” slogan, it is designed to deliver a light, easy-drinking profile suited to both simple cocktails and casual sipping.
The blend consists of 72.5% grain neutral spirits and 27.5% straight whiskeys aged two years or more. This combination gives Kessler a mellow character with gentle whiskey notes, subtle sweetness, and a clean finish. Bottled at 80 proof, it offers a versatile option for everyday mixed drinks without overpowering other ingredients.
Kessler American Blended Whiskey is available in both 750mL and 1.75L bottles, making it suitable for home bars, parties, and larger gatherings.

What Makes It Special
Kessler has remained a recognizable American whiskey brand for more than a century. Its accessible flavor profile and straightforward 80-proof strength make it an easy choice for drinkers seeking a smooth whiskey for classic mixed drinks.
The blend of straight whiskeys and grain neutral spirits creates a lighter profile than bourbon or rye whiskey. This allows Kessler to mix easily with cola, ginger ale, citrus, and other common cocktail ingredients while still providing familiar notes of caramel, vanilla, grain, and oak.
Its availability in both standard and larger bottle sizes also makes it a practical option for different occasions, from stocking a home bar to serving guests at gatherings.
How to Enjoy
Kessler American Blended Whiskey can be enjoyed neat or over ice for a light and uncomplicated pour. Its mellow profile also makes it especially well suited to highballs and mixed drinks.
Serve it with cola, ginger ale, lemon-lime soda, or sparkling water for a simple cocktail. It can also be used in a Whiskey Sour, Old Fashioned, or other recipes where a lighter whiskey character is preferred.
