Winemaker’s Notes
Dolly Chardonnay 2023 marks Dolly Parton’s first foray into the world of wine, and it is a bright and refreshing debut. On the nose, it opens with inviting aromas of green apple, pear, and citrus blossom, enhanced by subtle undertones of vanilla and toasted almonds. The palate is crisp and well-balanced, offering flavors of juicy orchard fruits, lemon zest, and a hint of tropical pineapple. A touch of creaminess from gentle oak aging adds depth and a smooth texture without overpowering the fruit’s natural vibrancy. The wine’s acidity is lively and refreshing, leading to a clean, invigorating finish with a delicate minerality. This Chardonnay is a harmonious blend of fruit-forward character and refined complexity, making it a delightful choice for any occasion and a promising start to Dolly Parton’s venture into winemaking.
