Colonel E.H. Taylor Four Grain Bourbon 750ml
Experience a legendary masterpiece from the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery with Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Four Grain Bottled-in-Bond Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey. Crafted in homage to Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr.—the founding father of the modern bourbon industry and advocate for the historic Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897—this ultra-rare, highly collectible release stands among the most decorated expressions in the entire E.H. Taylor lineup.
Available now at World of Whiskey Shop, this 750ml Bottled-in-Bond expression honors Colonel Taylor’s 19th-century methods by marrying all four classic American whiskey grains: corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. While most bourbons rely exclusively on either rye or wheat as their secondary grain, this custom grain recipe balances the sweet richness of yellow corn, the velvety softness of winter wheat, the bold spice of rye, and the structured depth of malted barley. Aged for over a decade in hand-selected charred oak barrels and bottled under strict federal guidelines at 100 Proof (50% ABV), it offers an exceptionally complex, full-bodied tasting profile.
In the glass, it displays a radiant, dark amber-copper color with slow-moving, elegant legs. The nose opens with an inviting, sweet bouquet of honeyed graham crackers, toasted caramel, and vanilla cream, complemented by subtle undertones of ripe red cherries, fresh mint, and seasoned oak. On the palate, a lush, velvety, and well-rounded mouthfeel delivers expressive flavors of butterscotch, dark chocolate, and soft wheat sweetness, quickly countered by a lively pop of rye pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg spice. The finish is remarkably long, warm, and refined, slowly tapering with lingering notes of sweet wood sugars, dried fruit, dark cocoa, and lingering baking spices.
A holy grail addition for Buffalo Trace collectors, whiskey connoisseurs, and luxury gift-givers, Colonel E.H. Taylor Four Grain is best enjoyed neat in a crystal Glencairn glass. Order your bottle today from World of Whiskey Shop.
