Tasting Notes and Characteristics:Velvety black cherry and cocoa aromas roll across the glass, inviting you to sink into a warm, confident sip that balances bright berry lift with a chalky tannin grip. Beringer Main & Vine Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5L, ABV 13.50%, from the United States, shows concentrated blackberry, baking spice and a hint of cedar from short oak aging, making it a straightforward crowd-pleaser that pairs particularly well with Steak or Aged Cheddar. Fermented like other approachable Cabernets in stainless steel or neutral vessels and often aged briefly in oak, this wine gives immediate fruit impact and enough structure to stand up to rich, savory dishes while remaining easy to enjoy by the glass.Producer Information: Beringer VineyardsFounded in 1876 by German immigrants Jacob and Frederick Beringer in St. Helena, Napa Valley, Beringer Vineyards is the oldest continuously operating winery in the Napa region and built its reputation on site-specific vineyard sourcing and cellar-driven refinement; early investment in riverbed and benchland sites across Napa, Rutherford and Knights Valley established a production focus on Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and vineyard-designate bottlings aged with careful oak integration and precision blending to express each appellation. The winery’s Rhine House tasting facility and historic estate underscore a legacy of family-era winemaking that later evolved into modern practices under corporate stewardship, with attention to sustainable viticulture and temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve varietal clarity. In addition to Private Reserve and Founders-level Napa wines, Beringer markets accessible label tiers and regional bottlings from Sonoma and Carneros, offering a full portfolio that spans single-vineyard Cabernets, reserve Chardonnays and value-driven table wines.
