Tasting Notes and Characteristics:Warm caramel, toasted oak, and a slow Kentucky-style spice make Ben Holladay 6Yr Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon feel rich from the first sip, with a sturdy 50.00% ABV that brings depth without losing balance. Made in the United States, this bourbon shows classic corn-driven sweetness layered with vanilla bean, dark honey, charred wood, roasted peanut, and a touch of peppery rye-like spice on the finish. Its bottled-in-bond identity signals a serious American whiskey character, and the six years of aging add structure, warmth, and a rounded oak presence. Pour it neat, over a large cube, or into an Old Fashioned, and pair it with smoked brisket or aged cheddar for a bold match that brings out its savory smoke, caramel sweetness, and lingering spice.Producer Information: Holladay DistilleryHolladay Distillery began in 1856 in Weston, Missouri, where entrepreneur Ben Holladay used the site’s limestone springs and local grain access to build one of the oldest distilleries west of the Mississippi still operating on its original grounds. Its identity is rooted in Missouri bourbon, with a production style centered on limestone-filtered water, column and pot distillation, on-site aging in charred oak barrels, and Bottled-in-Bond discipline that reflects patience rather than shortcuts. The distillery is also connected to McCormick Distilling, producing a broader portfolio that includes McCormick Vodka, 360 Vodka, Tequila Rose, and other American spirits, while its Weston location remains central to its character and category reputation.
