Barrell Craft Spirits Seagrass 19 Year Old Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes Nose: A showcase of exotic spices—caraway, fenugreek, dill—and the bready depth of rye toast and roasted taro. Rhum Agricole barrels enhance grassy notes of cucumber peel and bark mulch, while the oak brings out cigar tobacco, coffee, and cinnamon. Palate: Oily texture with peanut, coconut, and tea tree oil notes. Creamy soy milk and cocoa butter evolve into bright lemonade and nutty sunflower seed flavors, thanks to the madeira barrels, with hints of grapefruit peel and verjus. Finish: The apricot brandy casks bring out passionfruit, mirabelle plum, and banana peel, followed by rye and mineral notes of chalk dust, flint, and cedar smoke.
