Tasting Notes and Characteristics:The first sip of Barbadillo Cream Sherry wraps your palate in a velvety embrace, balancing lush notes of caramelized nuts, dried figs, and a gentle hint of orange peel that lingers long after the glass is set down. Crafted in Spain with meticulous blending of Palomino and Pedro Ximénez grapes, this sherry achieves its signature richness through traditional solera aging, resulting in a harmonious sweetness that never overwhelms. With an alcohol by volume of 17.50%, Barbadillo Cream Sherry finds its perfect match alongside bold blue cheese or decadent pâté, where its deep flavors elevate every bite into something truly memorable.Producer Information: BarbadilloBarbadillo, rooted in the coastal town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda in Andalusia, Spain, was founded in 1821 by Benigno Barbadillo and his cousin Manuel López Barbadillo after their return from Mexico. The family’s deep connection to the unique microclimate of Sanlúcar has shaped their approach to winemaking, particularly through their mastery of biologically aged wines influenced by Atlantic breezes and the Guadalquivir River. Their commitment to traditional solera systems and local Palomino grapes defines their Manzanilla style, while they also produce a diverse portfolio including Castillo de San Diego white wine made from 100% Palomino Fina, as well as red wines under the Gibalbín label from Cádiz vineyards. Beyond wine, Barbadillo crafts artisanal vermouths and brandies that reflect both regional heritage and innovative blending techniques specific to southern Spain’s sherry triangle.
