Héritage: A Gift Of Time
Paul Giraud Héritage is the oldest Cognac produced by the estate, having been aged for around 60 years in Limousin oak casks in the family’s humid cellars. This is an exceptionally mature Cognac, the exquisite flavor and incredibly persistent aftertaste of which is a testament to the time gifted to the spirit, it is an elite drink for true connoisseurs.
Héritage has been made using Ugni Blanc grapes grown exclusively on the family’s 35 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Grande Champagne. The Giraud Cognac House has become renowned for not only its outstanding single year Cognacs, which are considered to be the best representation of Grande Champagne, but also for its traditional production methods. The grapes are all harvested by hand, meticulously distilled in classic copper pot stills and contain no chemicals, pesticides or colouring additives, ensuring the authentic flavor of the eaux-de-vie is preserved.
