Delamain Rare Cask Ancestral 25.1 Grande Champagne Cognac
Delamain Rare Cask Ancestral 25.1 represents the pinnacle of Delamain’s expertise, a single cask Cognac preserved through generations of cellar masters. Carefully selected by current Maître de Chai Charles Braastad in 2025, this release marks the first of only two ancestral casks unveiled that year. It contains some of the rarest and most concentrated eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, aged in old French oak barrels until reaching its peak maturity.
With only 190 bottles available worldwide, Ancestral 25.1 is an ultra-limited edition designed for collectors and discerning Cognac lovers. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 43.6% without any reduction or blending, this Cognac delivers a deeply expressive and unfiltered experience. Its transparency is enhanced by a detailed front label showing full production and bottling information.
The nose opens with notes of candied fruit and prune, enriched by toffee and cocoa with a soft spice lift. The palate brings forward seasoned tobacco, leather, and fine oak, followed by the freshness of citrus zest and a refined hint of walnut. A rich, progressive structure reveals the elegance typical of long-aged Grande Champagne Cognacs.
Presentation of the bottle
The Cognac is housed in a clear 70cl bottle with a natural cork and gold capsule, accompanied by a luxurious wooden case with blue and gold accents. The front label includes all key production details, underscoring the transparency and authenticity of the release. This elegant packaging reflects the exclusivity and collectible nature of the Ancestral series.
