Angel’s Envy Bottled-in-Bond Cask Strength

Tasting Notes and Characteristics:Big, warm and inviting on the palate, Angel’s Envy Bottled-in-Bond Cask Strength opens with full-bodied heat and a velvety mouthfeel that suits contemplative evenings or celebratory sips. ABV 0.625 (62.5%) signals serious intensity; it is a United States whiskey presented as a Bottled-in-Bond, aged under the Bottled-in-Bond statute and finished in port wine casks as per Angel’s Envy’s production approach. On the nose and palate you’ll find toasted oak, caramel, vanilla, baking spice and concentrated dark fruit with a lingering cocoa-like bitterness. With dark chocolate the whiskey’s port-influenced fruit and cocoa notes amplify the chocolate’s richness, while paired with smoked brisket its sweet oak, smoke and spice cut through fat and echo the meat’s char for a balanced, savory-sweet finish.Producer Information: Angel’s EnvyAngel’s Envy is based in Louisville, Kentucky, where it was founded by master distiller Lincoln Henderson and his son Wes Henderson in 2010 and launched commercially in 2011.
